Welcome to another Wednesday edition of the DFS delivery, as always I am your host taking you through a wide variety of NBA action tonight. Unlike last week, we have one of the largest slates in recent weeks featuring 11 games to dive into from a lineup building perspective. We have ourselves a final push for many teams getting into the All-Star break this weekend. While some stars are resting nagging injuries, others are getting ready to show off one more time before their festivities take place.

A whopping eight out of a possible 11 games tonight feature game totals over 220 points, making almost the entire slate worth attacking from a pricing standpoint. As always, I am going to be highlighting some of my favorite plays for cash and tournaments alike, with a strong lean to expected competitive games and high scoring affairs. Please check all injury reports prior to tip-off in order to stay current on any last minute lineup changes. Without much more prelude, let’s dive into my selections.

    Player Tiers

    Expensive Tier

DeMar DeRozan ($10,400) – The frontcourt tandem of DeRozan and Vucevic have been on a tear in recent games, especially with LaVine out of the lineup. DeRozan in particular is on a torrid streak of scoring 35-plus points over his last week. I fully expect his scoring and playmaking streak to continue tonight facing a porous Kings defense.

Julius Randle ($9,700) – Another player benefiting from injuries, Randle has been on his own tear similar to his breakout campaign that we witnessed a season ago. Over his last four games, he has been able to score at least 55 fantasy points per night. Tonight he has a battle for NY with the Nets, making him a must roster player across all formats.

Trae Young ($9,400) – Young may be overlooked in the high-priced category of guards tonight, but for no reason other than he is playing a lowly Orlando team in one of the first games of the slate. After back-to-back huge fantasy performances, Young is poised to continue to flirt with 30/10 double-doubles in this game.

Donovan Mitchell ($9,000)- Mitchell is traveling to take on the Lakers tonight, and it’s poised to be a great game assuming LeBron James and Anthony Davis are both active on the other side of the ball. Following up his last game where he had 50 fantasy points in a blowout win, this game should play significantly closer. Pen Mitchell in for at least 50 DK points once again.

    Mid-Tier

Jusuf Nurkic ($8,800) – Once CJ McCollum was traded the consensus around the league was the TrailBlazers would pack it in with Damian Lillard out. Things have not gone according to plan with Josh Hart taking the starting minutes spot and running with them. Nurkic has also benefited with additional spacing, making a formidable one-two punch with Simons in the backcourt. In a matchup against Steven Adams, it should be a bully-ball kind of game with each heavyweight taking shots.

Tyrese Haliburton ($8,400) – Haliburton seems to be enjoying his debut week with the Pacers to the tune of a near triple-double in his debut. With a price tag of only $8,400, Tyrese is in a prime position to continue to feast as the primary playmaker tonight.

Anfernee Simons ($7,900) – As I touched on earlier, Simons has been on a tear over his last two games, with averages of close to 50 fantasy points a night. A great matchup against a potentially Morant (less) Grizzlies team makes him must roster tonight.

Gary Trent Jr. ($6,100) – Gary has cooled off considerably over his last couple of games, making him a high-risk, high-reward type of tournament play in what should be one of the highest scoring up-tempo games on the entire slate. We have seen his ability to get hot at any point, and I expect that to happen tonight as the Raptors travel to take on the Timberwolves.

Seth Curry ($5,700) – With no Kyrie Irving or Kevin Durant in the lineup, the new look Nets are relying on their latest addition, Seth, to provide the scoring and playmaking on his new team. In what should be an entertaining game all around I expect Curry to provide plenty of value under $6K in price.

    Value

Danilo Gallinari ($4,600) – With no John Collins in the starting five, the Hawks have added Gallinari to the starting group. In his last start he put up a sensational 25 points and 30 fantasy points. I expect another strong shooting game against a relatively poor outside shooting defending team in the Magic.

Bones Hyland ($4,200) – Coming off back-to-back games of over 20 fantasy points, Hyland is in a prime position to get plenty of minutes off the bench in what should be a high scoring affair against the Warriors. Lock him into lineups with confidence.

Quentin Grimes ($4,100) – One of the newest breakout rookies this season, Grimes is now starting and playing heavy minutes for the Knicks with the latest injury to RJ Barrett. I expect another strong outing from Grimes due to his fearlessness to shoot the ball. He has made at least five 3s in his last two games and I expect another strong showing against the Nets tonight.

Tyus Jones ($3,100) – This is one of those wait-and-see type plays, since we won’t get word on whether Morant is playing until closer to tip-off. This is definitely a tournament-only play, due to the uncertainty of Morant’s injury. If he is out, fire up Jones for another strong outing against the Trailblazers at home.

Honorable Mentions: Nikola Jokic ($12,400), Nikola Vucevic ($9,900), De’Aaron Fox ($8,200), Jaren Jackson Jr. ($7,100), Derrick White ($5,800), and Tre Mann ($4,900)
