Today’s DFS delivery is going to be a little different given the relatively small slate of games we have tonight. With the Play-In Tournament on the horizon, many of the teams battling it out for the NBA draft lottery have started to rest many of their regular starters, while teams in high playoff positioning have done the same. Given we have six games to go through tonight, I am going to highlight some potential value up and down the pricing board. 

All six games feature game totals over 220 making it a small but exciting slate that will have a number of players likely highly owned. There are a few superstars with questionable tags going into game action, making tonight extremely volatile from a locked and loaded lineups perspective. As always, stay up to date with the latest news from around the league regarding minute restrictions and rest. 

Player Tiers

Expensive Tier

Luka Doncic ($12,000) – Coming off another monster 70-point effort in the last game against the Bucks, Luka is actually priced down to $12K making him an absolute steal at that price, especially when considering the opponent in the lottery bound Pistons. Despite a potential blowout risk, Luka offers the highest upside of any player on the slate.    

Trae Young ($10,500) – We have ourselves another Trae day featuring the Atlanta Hawks battling for playoff positioning at home against the Wizards. I expect another signature strong double-double performance out of Young tonight. Trae is having a quietly impressive season, making a late push for the All First-Team NBA honors. I expect 60 fantasy points tonight, with relative ease. 

Devin Booker ($9,100) – Coming off a blowout against the now eliminated Los Angeles Lakers the night before, Booker is headed towards a matchup against Paul George and the Clippers. Booker only played 30 minutes last night, which means he should be ready to go for a heavy minute workload in this game. There is some potential possibility Chris Paul does not play in this game, further increasing Booker’s value.

Mid-Tier

Jaylen Brown ($8,700) – With Tatum and Brown both probable, I am banking on one of these two stars for the Celtics sitting out this matchup against the Bulls. With Tatum potentially missing this game, Brown becomes a must play at a shade under $9K. Even if Tatum suits up, this game should stay close throughout, with Brown shouldering much of the offensive load based on his last two games scoring over 30 points in each. 

 Zach LaVine ($7,600) – After sitting out Tuesday’s loss to the Bucks, LaVine is back and ready to play at least 35 minutes in a must-win game against the Celtics. Priced under $8K again, LaVine has proven all season long that he can provide high upside value game-in and game-out. I fully anticipate 40-plus fantasy points this evening. 

Deandre Ayton ($6,800) – Deandre is rounding into form over his last five games, after a quiet mid-season slump. Coming off a monster double-double against the Lakers, Ayton is poised for a repeat performance in a battle against the Clippers. I expect him to be featured early and often against Ivica Zubac.  

Bogdan Bogdanovic ($5,500) – Bogdanovic finds himself in a familiar position coming off the bench and still averaging nearly 30 minutes a game. In a great matchup against the Wizards I expect him to come out firing and provide high level scoring mixed with some levels of defense. He is going to be relatively overlooked on this small slate given his bench role, making him a perfect tournament lineup staple. 

Value

Olivier Sarr ($4,200) – The young rookie big man out of Kentucky is finally getting all the minutes he can handle with the Thunder resting many of their regular starters as they approach the lottery season. Sarr has shown flashes over his last two games averaging nearly a double-double to the tune of 35 fantasy points. His price tag has not increased dramatically, making him a must-play option despite a tough matchup against the Jazz. 

Daniel Gafford ($4,000) – Gafford came out of nowhere last game in a surprise blowout win over the Timberwolves to the tune of 47 fantasy points. While I do not expect a repeat performance for the big man coming off the bench, I expect a strong encore performance to the tune of 25-plus fantasy points making him another great value build for all lineups. 

Patrick Williams ($3,500) – Williams is coming around for the Bulls, just in time for the playoff push. He has always been known around the league for his defense, but now he is rounding into a double-digit scorer as well, look for him to continue to provide rebounding and blocks tonight in a primetime matchup against the Celtics.
