• Another day, another two game Playoff slate! It’s Tuesday and we’re starting off with game two of the Cavs vs. Pacers series, with Cleveland favoured by nine points at home, a 229.5 O/U and Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and De’Andre Hunter all questionable. The 2nd game of the slate is the Warriors @ Wolves (-7) matchup, with a 209.5 O/U and Jimmy Butler playing against his former team. Let’s get straight to it!

    Anthony Edwards

    Position: PG/SG

    Salary: $9,400

Anthony Edwards scored 12 points per game in the paint in round one and Golden State allowed the 2nd most out of every team still in the Playoffs, ranking only behind Denver. Edwards also ranks 2nd in the Wolves clubhouse in rebounds per game, and Golden State ranked 2nd to last in the 1st round in rebounding %, trailing only the Lakers. And similarly to the Lakers, the Warriors lack a true center presence and Ant’s recent dominance could take advantage of this factor, despite Draymond Green’s defensive brilliance. Two other factors pointing in Ant’s favour is that in two Playoff home games he shot 10 of 20 from deep and Golden State allowed to most fta to opposing teams in round one! Donovan Mitchell ($8,900) should be seen as another fantasy option in this price-range, as he’s due for a monster offensive workload if both Darius Garland and Evan Mobley sit out. He shot the ball 30 times last game, going just one for 11 from long range. In theory, that shouldn’t happen again, as he shot over 50% from deep in his last three round one games, and his 31.4% usage rate in five games without Garland this season give him a considerable fantasy boost if he remains out. All in all, Ant’s presence in the paint and in the rebounding department give him the edge over Mitchell if everyone’s healthy, but if the Cavs continue to be limited health-wise, Donovan’s usage potential goes through the roof and given that he’s playing in the game with the highest O/U, he becomes the favoured play.
