Welcome to today’s DFS Delivery article.
Today is the last day of NBA DFS before we head into the break for the All-Star Game. Teams do tend to get weird and overcautious with their players before the All-Star festivities, so do keep an eye out for late news and scratches out of nowhere that will provide extra value.
But, for now, I have singled out some players that would feature in my lineups tonight, so let’s go and check them out.
Player Tiers
Expensive Tier
Luka Doncic ($12,400) – In 2022 Luka has 12 games with over 60 DK points, with 7 of them being over 70! He is on fire and you just cannot overlook something like that, especially when he is going up against the Clippers, who are giving up the sixth-most DK points to opposing point guards this season.
Bam Adebayo ($8,400) – The Hornets are running and shooting and offering up huge DFS scores to their opponents. Also, they do not have enough talent at the five spot to stop the opposing centers and the result has been them allowing the second-most rebounds per game in the league. Adebayo has had double-digit rebounds in 8 out of the last 10 games and is averaging 40.3 DKFP per game for the season. I expect a monster game from him tonight and a huge fantasy score.
Mid-Tier
Reggie Jackson ($6,800) – Jackson has taken 64 shots in the last 3 games while playing 37+ minutes in each one of them. He is clearly the number one option for the Clippers at the moment, who despite their injuries, have managed to be close or even win games against stronger teams. So, tonight, with them facing the Rockets, I cannot see a way around him, especially at a very affordable price.
Jalen Brunson ($6,400) – Brunson did not seem to have any problems with Dinwiddie entering the rotation last night at Miami, since he played 39 minutes and had 37.5 DK points. Tonight, he will be going up against the Pelicans, who have the 11th-worst defensive rating in the league and have allowed an average of 111.8 points per game since CJ McCollum joined the team.
Value
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope ($4,400) – The Wizards don’t have a lot of talent left outside of Kyle Kuzma, so this has led to Caldwell-Pope taking on more usage and shooting more. The result has been him scoring at least 26.0 DKFP in three of the last four games. I do not expect his numbers to drop off anytime soon.
Alperen Sengun ($4,500) – I like Sengun, even if Wood plays in this one, but if he does not, then Sengun is a near-lock for me. Yesterday, against the Suns, he played 28 minutes and had 49.5 DK points! Tonight he will be facing the Clippers, not an easy matchup but definitely easier than the Suns, and he will be getting close to 30 minutes regardless. But, without Wood and Porter on the floor, his usage rate is close to 23%, almost 2% higher than normal.
Honorable Mentions: Joel Embiid ($11,800), Jimmy Butler ($8,800), Brandon Ingram ($7,500), Kyle Lowry ($6,600), Dennis Schroder ($4,400), Deni Avdija ($4,500)
