• Congratulations to the Bucks! And congratulations to all of us because we have a 13-game slate! There’s A LOT to unpack here, so let’s get straight to the biggest O/U. Aaaaand it’s the Bulls again. They’re playing @ the Celtics and the O/U is set at 241.5, followed closely by the Nuggets @ Blazers (236 O/U) and the Warriors @ Grizzlies (235.5 O/U). But we’re just getting started – today marks Karl-Anthony Towns return to Minnesota! Well, the Wolves are allowing a bottom-10 fg% and the 5th least threes per game to opposing Cs, so the matchup isn’t that enticing. But who doesn’t love a good narrative? And it doesn’t end here, as we’ve got the Dennis Schroeder Golden State debut! The Warriors rotation wasn’t being fantasy friendly, and we’re yet to see what the German guard addition will do to that. And just before we get to the Pillar Plays, we need to acknowledge Kelly Olynyk. With Jakob Poeltl out, the veteran is projected to start and he’s yet to play 15+ minutes this season. But we’ll get to him later. Let’s get started!

    Derrick White

    Salary: $6,900

    Position: PG/SG

Let’s explore the Bulls again. They’re first in the league in pace, with a bottom-5 defensive rating and allow the most points, most threes, 3rd most rebounds, 2nd most steals and 5th best fg% to opposing SGs. Derrick White’s last game against the Bulls came in November, where he played a mere 24 minutes and had a 16/6/4 line. The Celtics distanced themselves with a 42-33 4th quarter and won by 9 points. That game also easily cleared today’s O/U, with 267 total points. But why did Derrick White only play 24 minutes in a close game? Because of a certain Celtic that’s also a great option today. While I don’t love that Payton Pritchard only costs less $1,000 than White (worse role, worse minutes and the Bulls presenting an awesome opportunity for White to fill the stat sheet), the Bulls guard 3-point defense proved lethal for Pritchard in November and if he’s able to continue on his hot streak – 64 points on his last three games! – watch out for a threes barrage!
