• It’s finally here! It’s Sunday and we’ve got one of the most antecipated playoff games in recent memory – Nuggets @ OKC (-8), with a 213.5 points O/U and the MVP award still to be anounced! Both Jamal Murray and Russell Westbrook are probable to play, but Aaron Gordon is questionable after injuring his hamstring in game six. His absence would be a major blow to the Nuggets, who are playing their 14th playoff game and have a thin rotation. OKC’s biggest question mark revolves around Jalen Williams, who shot 10 for 43 in his past three games. Even with a superhuman effort from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC will need their All-Star forward to keep their championship hopes alive. But the storylines don’t end here, and today could very well mark Russell Westbrook’s last playoff game in OKC! Let’s get straight to it!

    DFS Pillar Plays

    Nikola Jokic

    Position: C

    Salary: $20,700 / $13,800

This series has gone back and forth through six games, but there’s has been one huge constant – Nikola Jokic putting up 54+ ftps, in every game except the game two blowout, where he only played 32 minutes. Jokic has been taking advantage of OKC’s 46.6% rebounding %, the 2nd lowest amongst teams in the 2nd round, gathering 58 boards in the last four games. And after starting the series with three games with the same or more amount of turnovers than assists, he has been increasingly reverting that trend in the last three games. He dissected OKC’s defense for three assists to two turnovers in game four, five assists to two turnovers in game five and eight assists to one turnover in game six, seeing exponential increases in his assist to turnover ratio. And what about the scoring department? Jokic’s efficiency is back where it belongs! After shooting under 40% from the field in games two through four, he shot 68% and 64% in games five and six, respectively, going a combined six from ten from deep and 15 of 17 from the line. And he did it on increased volume, as he shot 22+ times from the field in three out of his past four games and 12+ times from the line on two out of his last four. Even if Denver isn’t favoured today and ends up succumbing to the 68-wins OKC squad, Nikola Jokic should provide another stellar fantasy performance, specially when taking into consideration his increasing efficiency, ast-to ratio and rebounding as this series has gone along.
