• The All-Star Weekend is almost upon us! It’s Monday, we have a ten game slate and we’re here to analyze it! The main slate is composed by nine games, with the Kings @ Mavericks and Spurs @ Wizards being the games with the highest O/U, standing at 237.5 and 236.5, respectively. And then… There’s the Jazz @ Lakers game! And Luka Doncic’s probable debut. It’s needless to say that the narrative surrounding Luka is pointing towards an amazing game tonight. I’m in full agreement, and I’ll add that I’ll want every share of the centers that Luka will be throwing lobs and passes to. If you play that game, don’t forget Jaxson Hayes! But back to the main slate, let’s get right to it!

    Point Guard Showdown!

Let’s start with the bad news – Stephen Curry ($8,700) is questionable. The Warriors are facing the Bucks in what promises to be a 3-point shooting battle that every fan reminiscing the 2016 NBA season will love. Damian Lillard ($9,200) will be Curry’s matchup, and both have a good number of stats backing them up. Without Giannis Antetokoumnpo in the lineup, Lillard’s averaging a 32.8/5.2/10.2 stat-line! In his last three games, all of which Giannis missed, Lillard put up increbible performances – 58, 51.25 and 69.75 fpts! And what about Stephen Curry? Well, in Jimmy Butler’s debut, Steph had 52 fpts on 19 shots, showing that Jimmy is in Golden State to enhance Steph’s game and not cut into it. Both players showed synergy playing with eachother, and there’s no reason to believe that will change against a Bucks team that is missing their best defensive player. In fact, against opposing PGs, the Bucks are allowing the most points and 2nd best fg%! If Curry is availabe, slotting both of them into your lineup seems like a winning move! If you prefer just one, I would keep Curry due to the better matchup and keep $500 in my back pocket. And finally, if Curry misses the game, look no further than Brandin Podziemski ($4,900), who is still a great play even with Curry healthy. Since his return from injury, Podz is yet to score less than 20 fpts and has four 30+ fpts performances in nine games.
