Welcome to the DFS Delivery, the article that helps you build your DFS lineups and focuses on the overall best plays at the time of writing.
After a 2-game slate yesterday, the NBA gets back into full swing with 10 games on the schedule. One of the more intriguing matchups should be the Cavs taking on the Heat and one of the more fantasy-friendly matchups could be the Hornets-Pelicans, with New Orleans being shorthanded.
So, let’s dive into my favorite plays at the moment, for this 10-game slate.
Player Tiers
Expensive Tier
LeBron James ($11,800) – I know that this might be a risky choice since James is listed as questionable but he’s mostly been able to play through any injury he has had this season. So, if he is available he could torch a Wizards team that carries the seventh-worst defensive rating. He is averaging 29.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 6.3 assists over his last 11 games, and with the Lakers playing so badly and the Wizards being so bad, this looks like an excellent game to go to him.
Devin Booker ($8,900) – I really believe that this price tag is way too cheap for Booker. He jumped right back into it when he played 33 minutes against the Heat on Wednesday and he just missed a triple-double. With Paul still out, the ball will be in his hands a lot more and he should be able to continue to rack up points and assists, which increases his ceiling and makes him look like an excellent choice at this price.
Mid-Tier
Jonas Valanciunas ($7,800) – Valanciunas should see a major bump in his usage with McCollum and Ingram out. Tonight he is facing a Hornets team that plays fast and is one of the worst teams in defending the paint and they allow the most rebounds per game in the league.
Kristaps Porzingis ($7,300) – We know that Kristaps has a minutes cap, which makes him somehow restricted but he is able to produce, even in limited minutes. He is averaging 1.36 FPPM in the 2 games with the Wizards and has played 22 and 26 minutes. The game against the Lakers should be a close one and if Kristaps can get close to 26 minutes he is able to 5x-6x his salary.
Value
Devonte’ Graham ($4,300) – With CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram out, this looks like an excellent opportunity for Graham to have a huge game. He is averaging 24.88 DKFP per game for the season, however, his salary has dropped so low in his reduced role that he should be easily able to return huge value. Graham has a 23% usage rate and has produced 0.9 DKFP per minute with the 2 studs off the floor and with a big workload coming his way tonight, he seems like an excellent value play.
Lonnie Walker IV ($4,200) – Since the Derrick White trade, Walker has had a larger role, averaging 15 field-goal attempts on 27 minutes per game over his past nine contests while compiling a 26.7% usage rate and 26.1 DKFP per game. Tonight won’t be any different, since he will once again have the chance to take up a ton of usage and his price is too low for the ceiling that he can offer us.
Honorable Mentions: Luka Doncic ($12,000), Donovan Mitchell ($8,600), Rudy Gobert ($7,400), Marcus Smart ($6,300), John Collins ($5,900), Mitchell Robinson ($4,900).
