Welcome to the DFS Delivery, the article that helps you build your DFS lineups.
Tonight we have a 9-game slate on our hands and although things are starting to get more stable, regarding the late scratches at least, there are still a lot of questionable tags that will determine a lot of our lineup construction.
With that said though, there are also a lot of solid values, that I believe will hold true up until lock.
So, let’s check out my favorite picks at the moment.
Player Tiers
Expensive Tier
LeBron James ($11,600) – James has been playing out of his mind over this past month. In the last 10 games, he is averaging almost 31 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists per game and he is now playing also as a Center!
Tonight he is facing a limited – due to COVID- Hawks squad and he should have his way with what they have left, especially in the frontcourt.
Kevin Durant ($10,300) – Since returning from COVID, he has averaged almost 32 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. With Irving being absent in home games, look at Durant to take on again more usage. Tonight he will be facing the Bucks and I am sure that he will be extra motivated.
Dejounte Murray ($9,600) – Dejounte Murray played 32 minutes on his first game back from protocols and he had 55 fantasy points! The Spurs have a lot of players out for tonight’s game and with them off the floor, Murray’s usage this season is a 25.2% usage rate into 1.34 fantasy points per minute. The matchup with the 76ers isn’t ideal, but Philly is missing some key pieces, as well. which should keep the game close and if this is the case, Murray will be the main reason!
Mid-Tier
Jusuf Nurkic ($7,000) – Nurkic saw 33 minutes in his last game with Larry Nance going down due to a knee injury, and we know at this point what a 30-minute role for Nurk can mean. He averages 1.27 fantasy points per minute with both Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum off the floor this season. The matchup against a big Cleveland frontcourt tonight is not going to be easy but the potential of him getting close to 30 minutes again is very enticing at this price.
Bobby Portis ($6,500) – Portis let everyone down last game, when he was heavy chalk, due to Giannis being out. He played just 22 minutes with DeMarcus Cousins playing well off the bench, but Cousins was waived by Milwaukee late Thursday. That should return Portis to the 30-plus minute role he’s had previously, and despite Giannis coming back tonight, his production this season (1.06 fantasy points per minute sharing the court with Giannis) is still very good.
Jalen Brunson ($7,000) – Well Luka is doubtful to play, so we will turn to Brunson once again. But, not only is Doncic out, but Kristaps Porzingis is also out for the Dallas Mavericks, which opens up plenty of offensive usage for Brunson. With the Mavs main duo off the court, Brunson sees a 28.6% offensive usage rate and producing 1.04 fantasy points per minute.
On top of that, he is facing the Houston Rockets, one of the worst teams in the league and the worst team in fantasy points allowed to the guard position!
Value
Royce O’Neale ($4,100) – The Utah Jazz are missing a ton of players tonight. Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley and Bojan Bogdanovic are out, Hassan Whiteside, Rudy Gay and Jordan Clarkson are questionable. O’Neale is questionable also but if he plays, he’ll be a very popular value option (as most of the Jazz players will be). He is not a very productive player but he should see a huge increase in rates, with the above players not playing.
Maxi Kleber ($4,000) – In his most recent game, he shot a woeful 1-for-9 including 0-for-7 from long range but still returned over 5x value with 10 rebounds, two assists, and a blocked shot. Kristaps Porzingisis sidelined again, so Kleber’s role should remain significant enough that he should easily return 5x value once again, especially since he is facing the Rockets.
Hassan Whiteside ($3,500) – With Rudy Gobert in health and safety protocols, there’s definitely a clear path to playing time for Whiteside, and he should get plenty of usage if available. Whiteside went through shootaround this morning so there is an excellent chance that he will be back tonight. He has only averaged 15.1 minutes per game in his 33 contests with the Jazz but is still producing 19.05 DKFP per contest. and an average of 1.26 DKFP per minute.
Honorable Mentions: Nikola Jokic ($12,000), Christian Wood ($7,100), Jordan Clarkson ($5,500), Will Barton ($5,800), Bryn Forbes ($3,500).
