Welcome to the DFS Delivery, the article that helps you build your DFS lineups and focuses on the overall best plays at the time of writing.
We have 9 games on the slate tonight, with 3 teams being on a back-to-back and most of the games project to be close, so we should be getting good minutes out of the studs.
But of course, the big news of the day is that Harden will make his Sixers debut tonight and it would be interesting to see what impact this will have on the fantasy production of Embiid and how these two will mess with each other on the floor.
So, let’s dive into my favorite plays at the moment, for this 9-game slate.
Player Tiers
Expensive Tier
Luka Doncic ($11,800) – Luka’s usage rate got even higher after the Kristaps trade and that was really hard to do. In the last couple of games, it is floating around the 40% range and this is something I just cannot ignore in any format.
Pascal Siakam ($9,300) – Siakam is underpriced in my opinion. He has scored at least 36 DraftKings points in 33 of his last 34 games, he’s playing nearly 40 minutes a night, and has the highest usage rate he has had in all of his career. Tonight, he will be going up against a Charlotte team that is second in pace and bottom 5 in defense, and one of the worst teams in the league in offensive rebounds allowed.
Mid-Tier
Cole Anthony ($7,000) – Cole Anthony has been very inconsistent since his injury troubles but we cannot ignore his high ceiling potential in a game against the Rockets. The Rockets play at the fastest pace in the NBA, and they are last in defensive efficiency. The whole game environment looks like fantasy heaven, to be honest, and I would like to take my shots at a guy that will have the ball in his hands aplenty.
Alec Burks ($5,100) – Alec Burks will likely start tonight with Walker out and Rose questionable and anytime he has been in that situation this season, he’s delivered by playing heavy minutes and giving us huge fantasy points in return. The matchup is not going to be an easy one, but I am counting on the minutes here and hoping that the Knicks will keep the game as close as possible.
Value
Cameron Johnson ($4,800) – Cameron Johnson got the start yesterday and he delivered, with 37 DK points in 31 minutes. He will most likely start again tonight, and although the price has gone up since yesterday, he still looks like an excellent value, especially if tonight we see a closer game that leads to more minutes out of him.
Aleksej Pokusevski ($4,700) – Poku has not been good during his NBA tenure but that was mainly because the Thunder would not give him consistent minutes. In the last 7 games, he has played 25 minutes and averaged 26 DK points per game. With the Thunder dealing with multiple injuries, I expect that Poku’s minute will stay up there, and with him going up against a very weak Pacers team, I will have him in my player pool.
Honorable Mentions: Dejounte Murray ($10,800), Devin Booker ($9,200), Scottie Barnes ($5,800), Mo Bamba ($4,500), KJ Martin ($3,600).
