    It’s Friday and the Conference Finals don’t stop! Today, we got a Pacers @ Knicks (-6) matchup with a 225.5 O/U and some very interesting stats to analyze from game one. The Pacers dished 26 assists to only seven turnovers, scored 23 more points off turnovers than the Knicks and made 15 threes, eight of them attributed to Haliburton. And what about the Knicks? They shot 40 free-throws, with Jalen Brunson responsible for 14 of them, right on par with the Pacers number one rank in most fta allowed per game to opposing teams in the playoffs. Moreover, the Knicks won the rebounding and points in the paint battle. This series is a war between opposite playstyles! Let’s get right to it!

    Over the 2025 playoffs, Jalen Brunson is averaging almost the double of fta as the 2nd ranked Knick, with 8.3 fta per game. With 14 taken in game one, Brunson scored 12 out of his 43 points from the line and 20 in the paint, accounting for 32% of the totality of Knicks points in the paint. Besides allowing the most fta per game in the 2025 playoffs, the Pacers also allow the 6th most points in the paint to opposing teams, and those deficiencies fit perfectly into Jalen’s strong points in his game. Add that to the fact that Jalen played the least minutes out of all the starters due to foul trouble and that the Knicks will be in full force to avoid going without wins to Indiana, and Jalen Brunson topping his 48.75 fpts in game one seems like a feasible possibility, specially as he’s bound not to shot 17% from deep again and turn the ball over less than seven times.
