It’s Friday! And we’re entering the weekend with a great seven game slate! The slate begins with a Cavaliers @ Pistons matchup, who boast the 9th and 2nd best defenses over the last 15 games, respectively! We’ve also got a Clippers @ Nets matchup where the James Harden and Kawhi Leonard duo will try to continue the Clippers recent 7-1 record and their excellent play, a Hornets @ Raptors tank-fest which will need extra attention directed to the injury report, a Knicks @ Bucks matchup that will be missing the two superstar guards, a Suns @ Wolves battle for the Western Conference playoffs, a Warriors @ Pelicans matchup that contains the league-worst defense in the past 15 games and a Jazz @ Nuggets game in which the Jazz are playing the 2nd night of a back-to-back in altitude against one of the frontrunners for the MVP trophy! After a disappointing performance in a loss against Miami, Jimmy Butler’s value is enhanced by an incredible matchup and the possible absence of Stephen Curry (questionable), who could boster his usage. The Pelicans have been every opposing wing best friends, as their allowing the 4th most points on the 2nd best fg% to opposing SFs and the 2nd most points and the 6th best fg% to opposing PFs over the last 15 games. Their team stats are just as bad, ranking dead last in defensive rating over the last 15 games, allowing the 9th most fta, 3rd best fg% and 4th most assists to opposing teams over the same time span. Butler’s recent performance without Curry could garner some bad thoughts, but his previous 24/8/10 and 25/4/8 stat-lines in his other two games without the best 3pt shooter ever could mean that his Miami game was the exception.
