And we’re here again after an overdose of games yesterday in which 26 teams played! But what about today? We’ve got a 3-game Friday slate! Let’s go over each game. The Hornets are 10.5 underdogs against the Sixers in Philadelphia, and the O/U is set 215.5. The biggest question mark remains Joel Embiid and what kind of mask he will wear if he plays today. We’ve also got a Bucks @ Cavs matchup, where the Cavs are favoured the against NBA (Cup) Champs by 9 points and the O/U is set at 222. Then, we’ve got OKC on a back-to-back against Miami, with OKC coming of a brutal schedule that we’ll analyze shortly and with the Heat being favoured by 1 and the O/U set at 216.5. Let’s get right into it!

Tyler Herro
Salary: $7,400
Position: PG
OKC has played against Dallas, Houston and Milwaukee in the NBA Cup, with the games being on December 10, 14, and 17. They played the last two of those in Las Vegas, the played in Orlando yesterday and are in Miami today. Despite there being reasonable rest in between those games, they were gruesome battles in which their best players logged more minutes than usual and their last home game was 10 days ago. They won a close game yesterday against the Magic, but they looked sluggish and tired. And what are great indicators of tired legs? The Magic outrebounded OKC 40 to 32 and OKC shot 10/31 from three. Against the Bucks, they’ve also got outrebounded 52 to 43 and shot 5/32 from deep. All this to say that Tyler Herro’s shotmaking should pose problems for OKC’s tired defense, as it’s harder to swarm around opposing players with 10 days of travel and non-stop games. The opposing Cs advantage against OKC is slowly vanishing, as they allow just the 7th most rebounds (it has vastly improved with Isaiah Hartenstein), a bottom-5 fg% and bottom-5 points. With those stats the logical move is to shy away from Bam Adebayo’s $8,100 price-tag and invest on Tyler Herro’s $7,400, who’s averaging just 1 fantasy point per game than Bam. Herro’s stats are on the rise, as he’s averaging 25.4 ppg, 5.1 rpg and 4.3 apg with 50/41/92 shooting splits and leading the team with a 27.2% usage rate on the season, around 5.5% more than Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.
