USA Today’s Sam Amick is hearing that the Pacers and Nets could engage in a DeMarre Carroll – Al Jefferson swap.
Moving Carroll for Jefferson would give the Nets a little more financial flexibility going forward but he has been a staff favorite and it’s not exactly an equal exchange in a one-for-one. The Pacers reportedly have been willing to take on excess salary that comes attached with a draft pick while offloading Jefferson and this probably doesn’t fit that bill, though a healthy Carroll would give them some much needed depth as they look to make a little noise in the postseason. Carroll would lose some fantasy value here but would be a fine hold while the Nets would open up more minutes for their bevy of competent wing players.
