Kevin Durant scored 37 points on 13-of-26 shooting with 12 rebounds, five assists, one steal, two blocks and a career-high tying seven 3-pointers in the Thunder’s 121-118 overtime loss to the Warriors.
Durant also failed to call timeout when trapped with a two-point lead and seconds to go in the game, turning the ball over and following it up with a foul on Andre Iguodala’s game-tying jump shot attempt. In fairness, Billy Donovan choked that part of the game away too. The idea that he and Steph Curry could be playing on the same team next season is patently ridiculous, but in the here and now they head to Sacramento to take their frustration out on the worst defensive scheme in basketball. Russell Westbrook added 26 points on 10-of-29 shooting with seven rebounds, 13 assists, two steals and seven turnovers in the loss.Â
