• Jamal Murray scored 20 points on 5-of-16 shooting (2-of-7 3PTs, 8-of-10 FTs) with seven rebounds, two steals and one block in 34 minutes off the bench in Friday’s overtime loss.

Before you get too carried away Emmanuel Mudiay also logged 30 minutes and had 17 points on 5-of-10 shooting, three treys, three boards, five assists and a steal in a very high scoring game.  Still, while we think Murray might be a bit too trigger happy, it’s not like Mudiay is any better in that regard and Murray is already better than him.  Yes, Murray is getting minutes because of Gary Harris’ absence and the Nuggets aren’t about to go away from Mudiay anytime soon, but Murray is proving his value already and worth a look as a speculative add.  You’re buying the upside knowing that he has a better than coin flip chance of fizzling at least once before he’s a must-own player.
