• Isaiah Thomas scored 21 points on 4-of-15 shooting (2-of-4 3PTs, 11-of-12 FTs) with four rebounds, six assists and one steal in the Celtics’ 98-88 win over the Heat on Wednesday.

This was a pretty big win for the Celtics, who were struggling and being down 26 points they faced the prospects of entering the playoffs on a cold streak.  As it would turn out, they do the opposite and get a tough Hawks (4) squad coming out of the five slot.  Thomas has been the catalyst and he finishes with a top 20-23 season and the respect around the league that he has deserved for a while, but only recently got when it was completely obvious.  Jae Crowder added 13 points with six boards and a three but had no defensive stats, so his health (ankle) is a tiny bit on the radar heading into the playoffs as he finishes a top 35-45 season. Also on the radar — Thomas’ shooting wrist may be acting up again.
