• DeMar DeRozan fired up a classic one-category line, scoring 30 points on 11-of-20 from the field and 7-of-9 at the line, but added just five rebounds, one three-pointer, and four turnovers.

DeRozan has been a much more well-rounded asset this season, but tonight was a turn-back-the-clock performance (not good). He’ll be fine. Kyle Lowry briefly left the ballgame to get stretched, but returned to post 19 points with seven assists on 6-for-14 shooting, adding a three-ball, one rebound and two steals. Terrence Ross knocked down a pair of treys in 26 minutes with little else, and Cory Joseph had a quiet six points in 29 minutes. Under normal circumstances, Ross and Joseph wouldn’t be worth mentioning, but Toronto plays five times next week, moving borderline and even subpar players into the mix.
