Dwight Powell started and scored 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting with nine rebounds and one steal over 31 minutes in Saturday’s road win over the Kings.

Powell has shown flashes in the past and he has never really answered the call.  There are a few paths to minutes and production but the bigger question is whether he can convince Rick Carlisle to give him big minutes.  He’s a sneaky, but possibly premature stash for deeper formats heading into the last third of the season.
