Dennis Schroder played just 14 minutes on Wednesday, scoring eight points on 4-of-8 shooting with two rebounds, four assists and one steal.
Schroder has been playing very low minutes lately (17 mpg, last six) and strangely enough he has been returning solid late-round value. The problem is that he can’t do that long-term with that workload, and overall he’s only a late-round value in 8-cat leagues while his 9-cat value is significantly worse. All of this highlights his upside if he gets the minutes, but it doesn’t appear like he’ll be getting a huge role anytime soon. We’d like to see some sort of a step forward before upgrading him above what we call ‘low-end stash’ for 12-14 team formats.
