Shams Charania is reporting that the Knicks are finalizing a deal to send center Willy Hernangomez to the Hornets in exchange for two future second-round picks and Johnny O’Bryant.
It looks like the Knicks are settling for the best available offer and this move surely won’t help Hernangomez’s value unless of course the Hornets plan to trade Dwight Howard. As long as the deal remains as it’s being reported, Kyle O’Quinn will continue to get all the backup minutes in New York while the Hornets have found a reliable big man that can also be a building block for their future.
Sources: Charlotte is sending Johnny O'Bryant and two second-round draft picks to the Knicks for Willy Hernangomez.
