The Celtics have assigned Guerschon Yabusele to their G-League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws.

This could be a number of things. The Celts could be opening up a roster spot to play the buyout market, they could be opting to let him develop in real minutes at the G-League level or they could simply be sending him down for a game and calling him up tomorrow. Expect lots of little moves like this from playoff teams as the list of bought out players expands. Yabusele is an intriguing talent but simply doesn’t have enough room to operate in a crowded Boston rotation this season.
