In a recent interview with SporTV Tiago Splitter said he has decided to retire from professional basketball, according to Mike Maestro of Giagantes.com.
Splitter is now 33 years old and played in seven NBA seasons with three different organizations including the Spurs, Hawks and Sixers. The former NBA champion averaged 7.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 0.6 blocks over his career. His most recent stint in the NBA was eight games with the Sixers during the 2016-2017 season. Splitter mentioned venturing into a coaching career following his retirement.
