Warriors coach Steve Kerr said that JaVale McGee “has a real chance” to make the Warriors’ roster this season.

“We’ll see how he plays in camp,” Kerr said. “But he comes highly recommended by Andre [Iguodala] … He’s playing with a talented group of players and a really good environment … in which there’s nobody like him on the roster.” McGee does offer a unique skill set to Zaza Pachulia, Draymond Green and Anderson Varejao (none of whom are known for their rim protection) but he’s far from a lock to make the roster.  Regardless, there likely won’t be enough rotation minutes to justify owning McGee in standard leagues.
