Tyler Johnson’s MRI showed nothing other than a left shoulder sprain and he will be day-to-day going forward.
This is a big deal because it’s his previously injured shoulder and this could have been worse news. “It was what we hoped for,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “The initial evaluation on him remains the same. It’s a strain, it’s getting better but he’s not able to play right now.” Johnson did not accompany the team on its two-game road trip but it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility for a return immediately after that, but the Heat are going to play things safe here.
