Suns GM Ryan McDonough said that Brandon Knight has looked really close to being 100 percent during workouts.
“Last year, he settled a lot for [jump shots] and things like that,” said McDonough. “Just because he didn’t feel like he had the burst to get to the paint, get to the free-throw line, absorb contact, bounce back up without potentially aggravating an injury.” Knight’s groin injuries wrecked the end of last season for him and Knight figures to be the odd man out of the excess guard situation, barring an injury to Eric Bledsoe or Devin Booker. He’ll still have plenty of fantasy value, but he’s more of a late-round pick than a mid-round guy and has a clear advantage in 8-cat leagues.
