• A report from Adrian Wojnarowski and Michael C. Wright of ESPN suggests that there has been some tension building between Kawhi Leonard and the Spurs over the treatment of his quad injury.

It’s not a big #WojBomb on the surface, but “chilling impact” and “turbulence” are not terms that you ever hear with the Spurs and their star players. The Spurs also started the offseason with rumors that LaMarcus Aldridge was thought to be on his way out after a couple of frustrating seasons, but those have silenced after Aldridge has helped carry the Spurs with Leonard sidelined for much of this season. This report is likely just a lot of smoke, but who could blame Leonard for being frustrated that his injury is taking longer to heal and his team being extremely cautious with him. There’s almost no chance he’s traded at the deadline so this will likely die down in the coming weeks as Leonard continues to recover. For fantasy owners, it’s a lost season, but perhaps there might be some owners willing to take a risk and trade for Kawhi in the hopes that he returns to full health come fantasy playoff time.
