Erik Spoelstra said Dion Waiters (ankle) would’ve been ready to play if the Heat made the playoffs.

Although he is still not 100 percent, Waiters would’ve given it a shot if the Heat advanced to the playoffs. He missed the final 13 games of the season but should be ready for the start of next season. Waiters will be declining his player option for next season and will be looking for a pay raise. Expect the Heat to try and re-sign him after having the best season of his career, averaging 15.8 points, 4.3 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 1.8 triples on 42.4 percent shooting.
