Derrick Rose returned from a two-game absence on Tuesday against the Blazers, scoring 17 points on 7-of-20 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds and six assists in 35 minutes.
In a positive development it appears that Fred Hoiberg is staggering his minutes away from Jimmy Butler (22 points, four assists, four steals, two treys, 8-of-8 FTs) and that can only help Rose. In fact, we’d love to see him come off the bench as a Super Sub but that’s asking for way too much. There might be some buy low value here in 8-cat leagues, but with all his injury risk there’s no way we’re going there after just one good game.
