D’Angelo Russell will not play in Friday’s game against the Spurs due to a sore left knee.
Russell’s absence sort of accelerated to fruition over the past few hours and now owners are scurrying for a replacement option. Lou Williams is a solid bet to be productive tonight and Nick Young (illness) gets a nice boost, too. Look for Marcelo Huertas or Jose Calderon to start and for Jordan Clarkson to get some extra looks, as well.
Russell will be examined by a doctor later today. There should be more information later

Update: Jose Calderon will start for Russell tonight. He has low-end potential against the Spurs and can probably be left alone.
