• The Blazers have traded Allen Crabbe to the Nets in exchange for Andrew Nicholson, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Woj adds that the Blazers will waive Nicholson with the stretch provision. Brooklyn was pursuing Crabbe hard last offseason, and it was their offer sheet that locked the then-RFA into a four-year deal worth $75 million. That became far too much for the Blazers to handle (the team barely made the playoffs with a bloated payroll) and the Nets reemerged as a natural trade partner. In Brooklyn, Crabbe should be one of the first guys off the bench and the Nets, a team that launches plenty of threes, will welcome his 3-point prowess (he shot .444 on 3.8 attempts per game last season). Unfortunately, there’s so many players deserving of minutes on the wings and at the two that it’s unlikely he’ll play enough to be a serious fantasy option. There’s some nice deep league appeal, however.
