• Paul Millsap scored 17 points on 4-of-10 shooting (9-of-11 FTs) with eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and four blocks in Thursday’s series clinching win against the Celtics in Game 6.

The Hawks’ defense was their calling card as their athletes were better than the Celtics’ athletes and had way more punch on the offensive end.  Kent Bazemore continued to enhance his stock with 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two threes, and Al Horford got back into the offense with 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting, four rebounds, two assists, two steals and three blocks.  Kyle Korver hit all four of his shots (including two threes) and all four of his free throws to go with nine boards, three assists, one steal and two blocks, and Dennis Schroder had a good night with 12 points and eight assists in 23 minutes off the bench.

Now they get a playoff rematch against the Cavs and they’ll have solve a problem that they couldn’t solve last year — who is going to guard LeBron?  Bazemore was too small and Millsap, albeit a banged-up version, was too slow.  They might need the Cavs to beat themselves to advance.
