• Trey Lyles started in place of Derrick Favors (knee) and scored 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the floor with four 3-pointers, six boards and to assists in the Jazz’s 100-84 victory Sunday over the Nuggets.

Lyles was called upon when Favors was a late scratch with right knee soreness but responded with the best game of his career. Lyles has some potential as a solid stretch-big, but inconsistency with his minutes and play are enough to leave him on the wire for the last couple games even if Favors misses more time. Gordon Hayward also had a big game with 22 points (8-of-16 from the field, 4-of-4 from the line), two treys, nine boards, five assists, two steals with a block and remains a must-start guy.
