Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reported that it “sounds like” the Knicks will start Emmanuel Mudiay at point guard Thursday.
This makes a lot of sense since Frank Ntilikina has struggled in his rookie season and Jarrett Jack is an older veteran who takes away playing time from the kids. Mudiay has shown he can produce capably when given the minutes, but he will need a lot of them to be relevant with some stat deficiencies in shooting and low defensive numbers. He is a speculative pickup with upside for a large role down the stretch.Â
