O.J. Mayo started and scored 13 points on 5-of-13 shooting (no threes) with five rebounds, four assists and one steal in Friday’s loss to the Pistons.
With Jerryd Bayless going down to an ankle injury there is added credibility to his value but so far this season Mayo hasn’t been able to answer the call. At all. So no, we’re not racing to the wire even though there’s a good chance he could play more than 30 mpg for a bit, but if you’re in a pinch and want to gamble then he’s worth a look.
