J.J. Barea hands out eight assists in loss

  • J.J. Barea scored six points, dished out eight assists and one steal and one block in Thursday’s loss to the Warriors.

    Barea is in for some extra burn moving forward, with the Mavericks shipping off Devin Harris to the Nuggets at the trade deadline and Seth Curry (leg) being ruled out for the season. He’s a low-end guard, while sharing the backcourt with Dennis Smith Jr. but can be counted on for some points and dimes on most nights.
