Evan Turner scored 13 points off the bench on Friday against the Warriors, hitting 6-of-12 shots (no threes) with nine rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks in 36 minutes.
Turner made a number of big plays and at times he is Brad Stevens’ safety valve on both sides of the ball. Nobody is rushing to declare Turner a big success but his time in Boston has been very good and he could easily morph into a solid role player in the second half of his career. As for his fantasy value, he’s got another week or so before Marcus Smart returns to move him into a deep-league only position. For now he’s a low-end play in 12-team standard formats.
