Darren Collison scored 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting (including two threes) with one rebound, three assists and one steal in 23 minutes off the bench on Friday against the Wolves.
Minnesota punished the Kings for their two-PG lineups and that’s one reason DC didn’t get more time, but the larger issue is that Rajon Rondo’s big personality and relationships with teammates have put him in charge. Collison’s injury and the ascension of Rondo have taken the wind from his sails, but he should continue to push Rondo for playing time while increasing his production. Don’t drop him just yet and look to acquire him as spare parts in a trade.
