D.J. Augustin scored seven points on 2-of-6 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds, five assists and two steals as the starting point guard on Tuesday against the Spurs.

X-rays were negative on Elfrid Payton’s injured right ankle and we’ll see if that opens things up at all for Augustin, but Payton isn’t going away and the Augustin ceiling probably sits at about 26 mpg.  But that’s totally possible with Payton being a question mark and if Augustin gets that he’ll be a solid late-round value.  He might even get there in 24 mpg but the logjam isn’t going away anytime soon.
