Buddy Hield scored 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds, three steals and one block in 22 minutes off the bench in Friday’s loss to the Warriors.
It was a national TV game and Dave Joerger likes to reward his veterans on those nights, so the youth movement took another break and that’s not too surprising. The Kings need to showcase and remove as many veterans as they can at the deadline, so guys like Hield, Bogdan Bogdanovic (12 points, four threes, three boards, six assists, three steals, 29 minutes) and De’Aaron Fox (16 points, 6-of-17 FGs, six assists, one steal, one block) won’t be consistent until then or maybe even after the break. All three are must-own, must-add players with big upside down the stretch.Â
