• Meyers Leonard was terrible in Friday’s win over the Suns, managing just two points on 1-of-8 shooting with three rebounds and two assists in 17 minutes.

We’re going to catch a ton of flak for this and deservedly so — Leonard looks soft out there.  Terry Stotts is seeing the same thing that we are and the big man needs to get a mean streak in him and go get some rebounds.  Defensively, he needs to get in the paint and do some dirty work.  There’s a reason his minutes are down and he has yet to reconcile that 3-point shooter doesn’t absolve him of his defensive duties.  On the glass he needs to stop boxing out so slow and robotically and simply put he needs to get after the ball.  The Blazers have also gotten more offense than expected from guys like Allen Crabbe and that makes Leonard’s offense less valuable.  We’re holding, but we’re getting closer to issuing the apology with every passing game.  Ed Davis (nine points, nine boards, no other stats) wasn’t great, and neither was Mason Plumlee (eight points, four boards, four assists, no defensive stats).
