Alec Burks scored 24 points off the bench on Friday against the Pelicans, hitting 10-of-17 shots (including a three) with three rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block in 31 minutes.

Burks has needed a full 30 minutes in the past to return late round value but things can change and the money counting production from tonight would be a good step toward that.  It will get pretty tough when Rodney Hood (ankle) and Joe Johnson (wrist) return, but owners might look at Burks as a short-term add with the hopes he can turn a corner and keep it up.
