• J.J. Barea scored 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting (including four threes) with five rebounds and eight assists in the Mavs’ 88-86 win over the Rockets on Wednesday.

The win puts the Mavs in the driver’s seat with four more games to play as they sit one game ahead of the Jazz in the eight slot and two games ahead of the Rockets in the nine slot.  Barea has put the team on his shoulders and is as must-start as they get in fantasy leagues.  Wes Matthews hit just 6-of-18 shots but four of them were 3-pointers and he also chipped in with six boards and three steals, while Dirk Nowitzki’s slowdown continued with seven points on 2-of-8 shooting, six boards and one steal. That said, he had the game-deciding defensive play below.
