• Ty Lawson scored 12 points on 3-of-6 shooting (1-of-1 3PTs, 5-of-6 FTs) with four rebounds and three assists in a 24-minute start at point guard on Friday against his old Rockets squad.

Lawson started next to Darren Collison and it didn’t make much sense because it forced Collison to cover James Harden and that didn’t last long at all.  So it was another slow start for the Kings — once again predicated on a bad starting lineup — but Lawson was pretty good in this game when on the floor.  He’s going to give something up on the defensive end against bigger, longer players but he is sticking his nose into the fracas and making some things happen.  Lawson is still gumming up the offense in the halfcourt, but when the pace picks up he can be a nice playmaker if there are other playmakers on the floor.  There isn’t anything but deep league value here.
