The Warriors remain an appealing landing spot for buyout candidates, either now or in late February, and Robin Lopez or Enes Kanter are two veterans that might become available.
The Warriors willingly entered the season thin at center but things might change after Damian Jones tore his right pectoral muscle. “We’ll see. Since this just happened, we haven’t discussed it much,” Kerr said. “We’ll sort of kind of check on our options, see what we want to do.” Willie Reed, currently playing in the G-League, is another name the team might look to bring in, but it’s unlikely that the Warriors make an in-season trade while they are working on getting DeMarcus Cousins back to the floor.
