• John Wall
    G, Washington Wizards

According to Marc Berman of the NY Post, some in the league believe the Knicks are stocking up their young assets and will make a major play for John Wall if he becomes available.

The Wizards are said to be ready to break it up after their disastrous start and for a deal to happen it would require a three-way scenario with the Knicks throwing in Frank Ntilikina, Damyean Dotson, Courtney Lee (for cap purposes), a 2020 first-round pick and a future second-round pick. This is obviously just a rumor but it makes sense as Wall’s extension kicks in next summer making it very hard for a team to trade for him. Wall is currently returning only top-50 value but his recent strong play suggests that better days might be ahead.
