Rudy Gay scored a season high 30 points on 11-of-24 shooting with two 3-pointers and 12 rebounds, and also had a steal in a season-high 42 minutes in Tuesday’s overtime loss to the Heat.

Gay is averaging 23.8 points in his four games this season and has started the season hot. The two triples were also a season high and he even went 6-of-6 from the line tonight. With the trade rumors lingering it was unknown how Gay was going to start the year, but he’s played very well and doesn’t seem to be bothered by them. HE has exceeded draft day expectations so far.
