• Rodney Hood and Alec Burks were just about the only two Jazz players to show up in Wednesday’s embarrassing loss, combining for 31 points.

Hood started and picked up 28 minutes, notching 17 points, three triples and a steal while Burks came off the bench to produce 14 points (3-of-11 from the field, 7-of-8 from the line), seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and a triple in 25 minutes of his own. The injury to Donovan Mitchell helped clear things up for both guys tonight but it’s a tight squeeze to get all three the minutes they deserve. It looks like the Jazz will give Burks the short end of the stick rather than run with a hot hand approach, which actually removes a ton of headache potential here. He’s worth holding for a week or so to see if that changes but owners should start looking for contingency plans once Burks returns to the rotation’s fringes.
