Robin Lopez controlled the paint on both ends of the court against the Celtics on Tuesday, scoring 18 points and grabbing eight boards (five on the offensive end).
He set the tone in the first quarter, repeatedly establishing deep position against Amir Johnson and Al Horford on offense, and crashing the glass for easy put backs. Â Lopez added one assist, two steals and one block to his near double-double, and shot an efficient 8-for-11 from the field and 2-for-2 from the stripe. Â Defensive rebounding has been a massive issue for the Celtics so far in this series, and if they can’t figure out a way to to coral Lopez in Game 3 they may be facing elimination much sooner than anyone was expecting.
