• Patrick Beverley was a pest on Wednesday night with six steams to go along with 12 dimes and nine points with a 3-pointer against the Kings.

Beverley has been the only true point-guard on the roster and it remains to be seen if this will be the case next season. His 12 dimes were uncharacteristic as  he’s averaging only 3.4 dimes on the year but this improvement in his game would be more than welcomed by the Rockets. His contributions on offense will help take him to the upper echelon of fantasy point guards and he may reach that next year if the Rockets don’t grab another point-guard.

Trevor Ariza scored only four points tonight in 22 minutes but a strong effort in the second half of the season has given Ariza fourth-round value on the year. He has elite ability and is the poster boy of the 3-and-D with averages of 2.3 3PM and 2.0 STL per game. He’ll be worth a fourth-round pick next year and has totally dominated at the power forward position. The Rockets still don’t have a solution at the four so maybe the Rockets will experiment with Ariza there more given his immense success at the position.
